Following the Prime Minister’s announcement this evening, I am writing to inform you that our school will now only be open from tomorrow, Tuesday 5th January, for Key Worker and vulnerable children.
We are aiming to start the group zoom meetings for your child’s class as soon as possible. Your child’s class teacher will contact you via the app with details tomorrow.
Key Worker and Vulnerable Children
We have sent via email a registration form for Key Worker children. Parents who feel they are eligible to use this provision should only do so if there is no other option. Key Workers are classed as those whose work is critical to the COVID-19 response and includes those who work in health and social care and in other key sectors. Many parents working in these sectors may be able to ensure their child stays at home.
EVERY CHILD WHO CAN SAFELY BE CARED FOR AT HOME SHOULD BE.
Vulnerable children include those who have an Educational Health Care Plan. A member of school staff will contact each of these families later in the week. If this applies to your child and you wish your child to attend school tomorrow, please email the office.
I am conscious that this decision to move to home learning will cause difficulties for many families. Hopefully this is only a temporary arrangement and we will soon be able to welcome all the children back to school.
Thank you for your continued support.
Look after yourselves, stay safe and well,
