Things to remember

Our PE days this year will be a Wednesday and a Friday, one session each week will be taught by a specialist coach. Please can you ensure your child arrives at school in their PE kit on these days.

All children have a homework book. This book contains a grid detailing the activities that need to be completed throughout that half term. We ask that this book is returned every Wednesday, to allow for checking and marking.

Each week, on a Monday, your child will be set spellings on Spelling Shed. We will be working on these same spellings in class and spelling tests will take place on a Friday. Please login and get your child to practise as often as they can. Let's see how far we can get up the leaderboard!

Each week, your child will read 1:1 with an adult in school and as part of a guided reading group. It is important that children bring their reading bag to school on a Monday and Friday, so that we can keep you informed of your child’s progress in reading. We encourage children to continue their love of reading at home and appreciate it when parents sign their child’s reading record. Please read books set on Bug Club.

Books will need to be returned on Wednesday mornings.

If your child is isolating or awaiting the results from a PCR test, there is a section titled ‘Home learning’ on our class page. If you are able to, there are a number of tasks to work on.
